No driving license, no number plate, helmet with rabbit… Social media influencer’s bike impounded in Shimla

Shimla: These days people are adopting different methods to increase followers on social media. Especially if we talk about influencers who ride bikes, they adopt new methods to make their videos viral among people. It is seen that on both these social media, bike riders are seen wearing different types of helmets. But do you know that modifying the helmet in this way can lead to accidents somewhere or the other. That is why the Transport Department and Police Department in Himachal Pradesh have started issuing challan on this.

Even in Shimla, some bikers are seen on the road using such helmets. Taking action, the Transport Department has issued a challan to one such biker. This biker, who did strange experiments on the helmet, neither had a driving license nor a number plate on the bike. The police taught this biker a good lesson by issuing a challan under the Motor Vehicle Act. Its challan has been issued near Ghoda Chowki, Shimla. Along with the challan, the bike of this biker was also confiscated.

Transport Department Director Anupam Kashyap said that walking on the road wearing such strange helmets is not free from danger. Seeing such helmets distracts other drivers. Any kind of accident can occur due to distraction. Anupam Kashyap has said that if anyone violates the rules, action will be taken against him as per the rules. Violation of rules in this manner may result in challan of up to Rs 5000.

Transport Department gave this information
Giving information, Director of Transport Department, Anupam Kashyap said that the youth doing such experiments not only put themselves in danger while driving, but also the person in front of them. Because while walking there, seeing such people on the road causes destruction due to which any major accident can occur. The transport department is raising awareness from time to time to the people not to modify the vehicles and not to make such changes on the helmets. Due to this awareness, the cases of road accidents have decreased in the last one year.

More than 7 thousand people died in road accidents in 8 years
He told that there are about 23 lakh registered vehicles in Himachal alone. In the last eight years, 7 thousand 414 people have lost their lives in road accidents, while 34 thousand 754 people have also been injured. Most of the road accidents occur due to human error. The increasing road accidents in the state are also a matter of concern for the government and the transport department.
