No ‘break’ from heat, compulsion to go to school in 45 degree temperature, relief will be given only for 4 days

Schools closed in Faridabad: The temperature remains around 45 degrees Celsius. It’s bad in the sun. Despite this, school holiday has not been declared in Faridabad. The Directorate of Education has changed the school timings, but this change is not providing relief to the children. In view of the heat, the Directorate of Education has handed over the authority of school holidays to the DC. But no announcement has been made yet by the district administration. However, this weekend children will definitely get a chance to stay at home for four days.

School Closed: How 4 holidays this weekend

There are summer holidays from 1st to 30th June. DCs have announced holidays in many districts of the state till May 24. But holiday has not been declared yet in Faridabad. Children will definitely get a few days’ respite from government holidays and elections.

  • Children will have to go to school on Wednesdays in the summer.
  • Buddha Purnima holiday is on 23rd May.
  • The Election Commission has declared holiday on 24th and 25th May due to elections.
  • After this, there will be Sunday holiday on 26th May.
  • Schools will reopen on 27th May.

At that time also the heat will be at its peak. According to the Meteorological Department website, the maximum temperature is expected to be 47 degrees on May 26 and 27. In such a situation, children will again have to go to school amidst the scorching heat from 27th to 31st May.

No holiday has been declared due to summer. After Buddha Purnima, there will be a holiday for two days as per the instructions of the Election Commission. After that it is Sunday.
