This saree was prepared under Swadesh India in collaboration with the artisans of South India, each and every detail of which was worked with utmost precision.

How was the work?

For this visit, Nita Ambani wore a beautiful Kanchipuram silk saree, which was designed with over 100 traditional motifs inspired by the temples of Kanchipuram. A stripe pattern was made on this saree, every detail of which was done by National Award winning artisan B. The intricate designs woven by Krishnamurthy included Iruthalaipakshi (two-headed eagle symbolizing Lord Vishnu), Mayil (symbolizing divinity and immortality) and Sorgavasal (celebrating the folklore of India).

Gold wires were used to decorate this work, due to which its royalty increased by double. The border of the saree was designed in two colored thin strips, which looked very beautiful.

With this saree, Nita Ambani wore a black colored blouse, which did not have any kind of embroidery. This piece of the outfit was made of velvet, which had a round neckline with full sleeves. Instead of a crop look, it was waist hugging, due to which it was completely covering her body.

With this black saree, Nita Ambani wore a 200 year old pendant set around her neck, which was in parrot shape. The piece was created using the Kundan technique, decorated with emeralds-rubies, diamonds and pearls. At the same time, its pendant had big beads made of emerald, which were doubling its royalty.

Talking about Nita Ambani’s overall look, she had flawless makeup on her face, due to which she looked glowing and ageless as always. She gave the last touch to her look with sparkly eyeshadow, glassy lips, blushed cheeks and black bindi, with which she styled her hair in a bun. She wore emerald studded earrings in her ears.
