NIA got important clues in Ganderbal attack, FIR registered in murder of outside laborers

New Delhi: About a month after the terrorist attack on October 20 in Ganderbal, Jammu and Kashmir, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) registered an FIR. Although, in this case of terror attack, NIA was cooperating in the investigation of Jammu and Kashmir Police from the very first day, but now on the instructions of the Union Home Ministry, NIA took over this case from Jammu and Kashmir Police. NIA is also taking all the documents and evidence related to the case from Jammu and Kashmir Police. In this attack, a Kashmiri doctor and six foreign laborers were gunned down by the terrorists. On June 9 this year, the case of open firing by terrorists on a bus full of pilgrims was also taken over by the NIA on June 15. Nine people, including the driver-conductor of the bus, were killed in the attack. Seven of them were pilgrims. Till date, the terrorists who are absconding from this attack have neither been caught nor killed in any encounter. All the encounters that took place in Jammu and Kashmir recently. None of them were found to be involved in the terrorists who carried out the Reasi and Ganderbal attacks. But the Central Government hopes that NIA will play an important role in breaking the back of terrorists by investigating these cases thoroughly.

Terrorists suspected to be Pakistanis

Sources say that at present only the Ganderbal terror attack case has been given to the NIA. The case related to the attack on an army convoy in Baramulla district on October 24 has been put on hold. Four people including two soldiers were killed in this. Apart from AK-47, terrorists also used American rifle M-4 for the first time in the Ganderbal attack. In this attack, two terrorists were captured in CCTV cameras. Both are suspected to be Pakistanis.

Expecting good results soon

On November 21, NIA had raided eight locations in Reasi, Udhampur, Doda, Ramban and Kishtwar districts of Jammu and Kashmir regarding Ganderbal and other cases. NIA sources claim that from here they are providing help to the terrorists of terrorist organizations Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed and their shadow organizations ‘Kashmir Tigers’ and ‘TRF’ who have crossed the border from Pakistan and infiltrated into Jammu and Kashmir. Very important documents and information have been received about the perpetrators. It is expected that good results will emerge in the future.
