New quota in law studies before CLAT, NLU’s big decision on LLB LLM

CLAT Reservation Rules in Hindi: CLAT 2025 exam for law admission is scheduled to be held in December 2024. But even before this, some top National Law Universities of the country have made some major changes in the quota system for admission to law courses. This new rule will be applicable to both LLB and LLM i.e. UG and PG of Law. A separate reservation policy has been added for socially and economically backward classes. Apart from this, state quota has also been implemented.

Reservation in Law Admissions: Where which new rule

MNLU (NLU Maharashtra): Reservation for Socially and Economically Backward Classes (SEBC) has been added in UG and PG law courses in three NLUs of Maharashtra. This will be applicable in NLU Mumbai, NLU Aurangabad and NLU Nagpur.
NLU Assam: Reservation for EWS of the state and children of defense personnel posted in Assam has been added in Assam National Law University. Irrespective of which state of India the Defense Department employees are from, if they are posted in any part of Assam, their child will get the benefit of quota in law admission in NLU Assam.

New NLU added to CLAT

This time another National Law University (NLU) has participated in the CLAT exam. This is Dr. Rajendra Prasad National Law University (RPNLU) located in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. You can check its details by visiting the respective official website.
