New OTT Release: From ‘Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen 2’ to ‘Dune: Prophecy’, 9 new films and series this week


In the world of OTT, the third week of November has started with new releases. Usually, new series and films arrive on OTT on Fridays, but now this trend is changing. In these seven days, the court is being decorated with 9 such excellent shows and films, which you and your family are going to enjoy a lot. On one hand, while the second season of Tahir Raj Bhasin, Aanchal Singh and Shweta Tripathi’s ‘Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen’ is about to come, on the other hand, after making a splash on the big screen, the world of ‘Dune’ is going to be streamed as a web series. Its story is 10 thousand years before Paul Atreides. Along with this, a documentary film based on the life of South Cinema’s ‘Lady Superstar’ Nayanthara is also being streamed. So let’s take a look at the list of films and web series releasing on OTT this week-

Dune: Prophecy (November 18)

In the month of March this year, ‘Dune: Part 2’ hit the big screen. Everyone’s interest in the story of Paul Atreides has increased. In this series, now the empire of Dune Universe is knocking on OTT. The story of ‘Dune: Prophecy’ takes us 10 thousand years before the birth of Paul. It is a prequel, focusing on two Harkonnen sisters. It lays the foundation for the mysterious Bene Gesserit and tells the story of the two sisters’ confrontation. In this race for supremacy, along with Emily Watson, Mark Strong, Travis Fimmel and Olivia Williams, Tabu is also in the lead roles. This series will stream on OTT platform JioCinema from November 18. A new episode will be released every week.

Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale (November 18)

We are going to get a chance to know closely the life of Nayanthara, known as ‘Lady Superstar’ in the South Indian film industry. This documentary film is the story of his/her humble beginnings to his/her emergence as a famous personality in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada cinema. The presence of icons like Shahrukh Khan, Rajinikanth and Mani Ratnam is going to be seen in this documentary film. Along with this, glimpses of Nayanthara’s special moments from her marriage and her life as a wife and mother will also be seen. ‘Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale’ is released on OTT platform Netflix on November 18.

Inner Chinatown (19 November)

‘Interior Chinatown’ is the story of Willis Wu (Jimmy O. Yang). It is based on the famous novel by Charles Yu. Willis Wu is a Chinese-American actor who is stuck in background and minor roles. Willis also works as a waiter in Chinatown. While he/she wants to live out his/her dream of becoming a superstar, he/she unknowingly becomes a witness to a crime. After this, both the story and his/her life turn upside down. You can watch this web series on Disney + Hotstar from November 19.

Alien: Romulus (November 21)

We all are interested in the world of creatures from another universe i.e. aliens. ‘Alien: Romulus’, released in theaters on August 15, 2024, has also been called the best alien film. Its story is set in the world of the year 2142. The story follows a team of workers from a mining colony who are trapped in a space station for a long time in order to recover cryo-pods. However, what they discover is more horrifying than they could have imagined. The film stars Cailee Spaeny, David Johnson and Isabella Merced in lead roles. You can watch it on OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar from November 21.

Cruel Intentions (21 November)

‘Cruel Intentions’ presents a new take on the 1999 classic film of the same name. The story is from high school and college. Washington DC. The story begins at Manchester College, a renowned institution located near. Where half-siblings Caroline Merteuil (Sarah Catherine Hook) and Lucien Valmont (Zach Burgess) come from an extremely wealthy family. But due to a scandal, their influence starts getting affected. So, to deal with this, they target the Vice President’s innocent daughter Annie Grover (Savannah Lee Smith). This film will be streamed on OTT platform Prime Video from November 21.

A Man on the Inside (21 November)

Ted Danson plays Charles in ‘A Man on the Inside’. he/she is a retired professor. he/she is part of a private detective’s plan to infiltrate a nursing home. Charles has arrived there to uncover the secrets of criminal activities. But he/she soon finds himself torn between the world of spying for the elderly and his/her friends in the hospital. However, he/she is not alone in this undercover work. This series will stream on OTT platform Netflix from November 21.

Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen Season 2 (22nd November)

After a wait of almost two years, the sequel of Tahir Raj Bhasin, Aanchal Singh and Shweta Tripathi’s web series ‘Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen’ has arrived. This time Gurmatit Chaudhary has also entered the series. At the end of Season 1, we saw that Purva i.e. Aanchal Singh has been kidnapped. Now the danger has increased further in the new season. Tahir Raj Bhasin i.e. Vikrant is on a mission to save her. Arunoday Singh returns as a contract killer. Whereas the entry of Gurmeet Choudhary’s character is going to bring a new twist in the story. ‘Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen 2’ will stream on OTT platform Netflix from November 22.

The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 3 (November 22)

The last two seasons of ‘The Sex Lives of College Girls’ got a lot of popularity. Now its third season is coming, where the coming of age students at Essex University are going to be immersed emotionally in the excitement of coming of age. Directed by Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble, the series revolves around four different roommates – Kimberly, Leighton, Bella and Whitney. This series will be released on JioCinema on 22 November.

Martin (23 November)

Dhruv Sarja’s ‘Martin’ was released in theaters last month on 11 October. It was considered the biggest Kannada film of the year. But it could not do very good business at the box office. It was rivaled by Rajinikanth’s ‘Vettaiyan’ in theatres. This film was released on rent on OTT a month later on 15 November. Now it is set to be shown on Prime Video without rent from 23rd November.
