New OTT Release: From ‘Stree 2’ to ‘Khel Khel Mein’ and ‘Sarfira’, watch 10 films and series this week

The second week of October has started. Along with this, the popularity of streaming of new films and web series on OTT has also increased. This week, films like Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao’s blockbuster ‘Stree 2’ to Akshay Kumar’s ‘Khel Khel Mein’ and ‘Sarfira’ are hitting OTT this weekend. Not only this, Barun Sobti’s ‘Raat Jawan Hai’ and Tamil film ‘Vazhai’ are also being released. Then let’s take a look at the list of films and series to be streamed on OTT between October 7 and October 13-

Stree 2 (October 11, Prime Video)

Now you can watch Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkumar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana’s blockbuster film ‘Stree 2’ sitting at home without paying rent. Made in the direction of Amar Kaushik, this horror-comedy is the sequel to ‘Stree’ released in 2018. The story is once again from Chanderi village, where there is terror of Sarkate. This monster targets women. Rajkummar Rao and his/her group of friends face this dilemma, in which Shraddha Kapoor also supports them.

‘Stree 2’ was released in theaters on 15 August. The film has made a net collection of Rs 594.6 crore in 53 days at the domestic box office and a worldwide gross collection of Rs 843.25 crore. From Friday, October 11, you can watch it on OTT platform Prime Video without paying any rent.

Khel Khel Mein (October 9, Netflix)

Akshay Kumar’s multi-starrer ‘Khel Khel Mein’ was also released in theaters on the occasion of Independence Day. Although, this film could not do very well at the box office, but this situation dark comedy film of Mudassar Aziz will definitely tickle you. The film stars Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Amy Virk, Fardeen Khan along with Akshay Kumar. This film will be streamed on OTT platform Netflix from October 09.

Sarfira (October 11, Disney+ Hotstar)

Akshay Kumar’s yet another ‘Sarafira’ is coming on OTT this week. This is actually the Hindi remake of Suriya’s National Award winning film ‘Sooraai Pottru’. The film has been produced by Surya and Jyotika. Whereas in this, Paresh Rawal and Radhika Madan are in lead roles along with Akshay Kumar. This film is written by G.R. Inspired by Gopinath’s memoir ‘Simply Fly: A Deccan Odyssey’. The story is about a young boy who dreams of affordable air travel for lower and middle class people. ‘Sarfira’ will stream on OTT from October 11 on Disney + Hotstar.

Vaazhai (October 11, Disney + Hotstar)

Vaazhai is a Tamil film. This is a children’s drama film, starring Ponvel M, Raghul R, Kalaiyarasan and Nikhila Vimal in lead roles. Made under the direction of Mari Selvaraj, this film is about Shivanayadhan, who works in a banana plantation along with going to school. This is a heart-wrenching story of an innocent boy’s childhood, which narrates the struggles and aspirations of banana plantation workers. This film will also be streamed on the OTT platform Disney + Hotstar from October 11.

Raat Jawan Hai (11 October, Sony Liv)

‘Raat Jawan Hai’ starring Barun Sobti, Anjali Anand and Priya Bapat is a comedy drama series. The story is about three friends who have become new parents. Because of this, the lives of these three start changing. This series will stream on OTT platform Sony LIV from October 11.

Citadel: Diana (October 10, Prime Video)

Citadel: Diana is an Italian espionage action web series. This is the story of the future. In the year 2030, an undercover agent for the global espionage agency, Citadel, is trapped alone behind enemy lines. Matilda De Angelis played the role of Diana Cavalieri in it. She is an undercover agent, working for the enemy. The series stars Lorenzo Cervasio, Maurizio Lombardi, Julia Piaton and others. ‘Citadel: Diana’ will release on Thursday, October 10 on OTT platform Prime Video.

Outer Banks Season 4 (October 10, Netflix)

Outer Banks is one of those web series, whose Season 4 was eagerly awaited by the audience. It is the story of a coastal community in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Chase Stokes, Madeline Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Davis are playing lead roles in this series. The story is based on the feud between the rich and influential family named the Cooks and the working class families named the Pogues. The Pogues are desperately trying to find out what happened to the missing father of their ring leader, John B. During this search, they find a treasure, which is connected to the disappearance of John’s father. This series will be released on OTT platform Netflix from October 10.

Lonely Planet (October 11, Netflix)

Lonely Planet, directed by Susanna Grant, stars Laura Dern, Liam Hemsworth and Diana Silvers. The story is about a female writer who arrives in Morocco to participate in a writers’ retreat. he/she hopes that here he/she will find some inspiration for his/her story. At the retreat, she meets a boy who is confused in his/her life. This meeting of both turns into an erotic love story. You can watch ‘Lonely Planet’ on OTT platform Netflix from October 11.

La Maquina (October 9, Disney + Hotstar)

La Máquina is a Spanish language web series. The story follows Esteban (Garcia Bernal), a professional boxer. People call her by the name of Maquina. But as time passes, his/her popularity starts falling. On the other hand, his/her manager Andy encourages him/her in such times. But Makwina knows that both her body and mind are no longer supporting her. In such a situation, he/she is struggling to get his/her career back on track. This series can be watched on the OTT platform Disney + Hotstar from October 9.

Girl Hunts Boy (October 10, Netflix)

‘Girl Hunts Boy’ is a romantic fantasy. It is the story of the supernatural bond between a boy and a hundred-year-old spirit. Cole (Michael Cimino) moves into a new house with his/her mother after his/her father passes away. She soon discovers that the house is home to the spirit of 17-year-old Bea (Peyton List) from the 1920s. She has lived there for over a hundred years because of an ancient ring. The story has romance as well as supernatural elements, which make it exciting. Cole now searches for a way to break the curse to bring peace to Bea’s soul.
