Black Warrant (January 10)
Sunil Gupta and Sunetra Chaudhary’s book ‘Black Warrant: Confessions of a Tihar Jailer’ published in 2019 became very popular. Now the web series ‘Black Warrant’ based on this is in preparation for release. This is the story of Tihar Jail, one of the largest prison reformatory in Asia. The story is from the perspective of new jailer Sunil Gupta (Jahan Kapoor). Jahaan is the grandson of veteran actor Shashi Kapoor. The trailer of the series has been liked a lot. The story unfolds as Sunil Gupta navigates the complexities of prison life, his/her struggles with authority, moral dilemmas and the web of a high-profile criminal case. Rahul Bhatt, Paramveer Singh Cheema and Anurag Thakur are also among the lead characters in this series. The ‘Black Warrant’ series will stream on OTT platform Netflix from January 10.
Sabarmati Report (January 10)
The film ‘The Sabarmati Report’, made on the 2002 Godhra incident, did not do well at the box office. Vikrant Massey is in the lead role in the film. he/she plays the role of a journalist in it. Apart from him/her, Raashi Khanna and Riddhi Dogra are also in lead roles. The film is based on the incident of arson of Sabarmati Express train on February 27, 2002. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also praised this film. After watching the film with the Members of Parliament, he/she had said that the truth is coming out in the film in such a way that the public can see it. he/she said that any false story can continue only until the facts are revealed. However, the film ‘The Sabarmati Report’ will be streamed on OTT platform Zee5 from January 10.
American Primeval (January 9)
‘American Primeval’ is a violent film set in the year 1857. The story follows Sarah Rowell (Betty Gilpin), who sets out on a dangerous quest to find her husband. Isaac (Taylor Kitsch), who belongs to the Shoshone tribe, enters the story to help Sarah. The two become further embroiled in the infamous Mountain Meadows massacre and historical chaos. This series shows a different side of American and Western countries. You can watch ‘American Primeval’ on Netflix from January 9.
On call (January 9)
‘On Call’ is a thriller-drama that takes you on a journey into the legal world of Long Beach, California. It stars Troian Bellisario as no-nonsense Officer Tracy Harmon, who teams up with her rookie partner Alex Diaz (Brandon Larcuente). ‘On Call’ tackles the ethical conundrum of emergency phone calls and response. It also faces absurd and strange situations which test the patience of the officers. This web series is releasing on OTT platform Prime Video on January 9.
The Upshaw Season 6 (January 9)
The very popular series ‘Upshaw’ is also returning with its sixth season this week. This time, the ever-optimistic Benny (Mike Epps) and his/her wife Regina (Kim Fields) are accompanied by Lucretia (Wanda Sykes). They deal with career changes, health issues and other challenges in life. Calvin (Diamond Lyons), Aaliyah (Khali Spraggins), Maya (Journey Christine) and Bernard (Jermall Simon) will be adding different twists to this family drama. This series is releasing on Netflix on January 9.
Ad Vitam (January 10)
‘Ad Vitam’ is the perfect choice this week for viewers who like action and thriller. It is the story of Frank Lazarev (Guillaume Canet), an EX top agent who worked in the French National Gendarmerie. he/she narrowly escapes an assassination attempt. But due to this his/her peaceful life gets ruined. he/she discovers a larger conspiracy, where his/her wife Leo (Stephen Callard) has been kidnapped by a shady organization. This web series will be released on OTT platform Netflix on January 10.
Alpha Males Season 3 (January 10)
The third season of the Spanish comedy series ‘Alpha Males’ is also preparing for release this week. The story is about four friends – Santi, Luis, Pedro and Raul. All four are at the stage of middle age. This group of friends are anti-feminists and create fun and insightful debates about what it means to be a man today. In the story, Santi struggles with women who are in no rush to settle down. The character Raul Luz (Kira Miro) navigates the complexities of romance. Pedro’s career takes a new turn, while Luis contemplates his/her parents’ divorce. This series will stream on Netflix from January 10.
Goosebumps: The Vanishing (January 10)
‘Goosebumps: The Vanishing’ is the sequel to the famous horror anthology. The story follows twin siblings CC and Devin Brewer, who move to Brooklyn for summer vacation with their father after their parents divorce. The story soon turns into a mystery when strange and horrifying revelations emerge about their new home. As the twin siblings and their friends Alex, CJ and Frankie delve deeper into the mystery, the story unravels into a horrifying mystery.
