Agartala: The Manik Saha-led Council of Ministers in Tripura will take oath of office and secrecy on Wednesday in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi here. Opposition Left and Congress will not participate in the swearing-in ceremony in protest against the post-poll violence in Tripura. A senior BJP leader said that the Council of Ministers headed by Saha will take oath of office and secrecy during the day. Saha will take oath as the Chief Minister of the state for the second time. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President J.P. Nadda has already reached Tripura to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the BJP-led government.
BJP’s Tripura unit chief spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty said, “Manik Saha will take oath as the chief minister of the state for the second time at Vivekananda Maidan.” Prime Minister Modi will be present in this program. “Chakraborty said,” This is the first time in the last three decades that Tripura A non-Left government has returned to power. We hope that the BJP government that came to power for the second time will fulfill the aspirations of the people.
