New Education Policy: Now graduation and PG admission will be done twice a year, UGC has issued the order!

Students pursuing higher education will get the option to take admission twice a year. This benefit will be available under the National Education Policy (NEP). There is a plan to start it from the academic session of 2025-26. Students will be given relief from this in graduation and post graduation syllabus. UGC has issued an order in this regard saying that now the admission process will be conducted twice every year. This will benefit those students who due to some reason are not able to take admission in the first round.

Under this new system, students will not be deprived of admission in any course. Earlier students used to get the chance for admission only once, but now these students will be able to apply for the second time also. This will especially benefit the students from rural areas and all those students who are not able to apply the first time due to technical or personal reasons.
Besides, those students will also get benefit who are unable to take admission due to their re-appearance. But after giving the exam, students who get good marks in the subject will now be able to take admission for the second time. Whereas earlier they had to wait for a whole year. This option is for students who want to complete their studies faster.

Gurgaon University Vice Chancellor Dinesh Kumar said that the new education policy has been made completely in the interest of the students. Its objective is to provide better opportunities to the students and eliminate barriers in their higher education. In such a situation, while NEP has been implemented in all the colleges of the university in this session, many other changes will also take place in the coming new session.
