Australia’s legendary wicketkeeper batsman Adam Gilchrist has advised everyone to be cautious of two teams. he/she believes that Nepal and Netherlands can give surprising results against teams like Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in the T20 World Cup.
Nepal and Netherlands have been placed in Group D along with Bangladesh, South Africa and Sri Lanka. Gilchrist believes that Nepal’s team has become very strong due to playing at the international level. Gilchrist told SEN Radio on Saturday, “I believe that Nepal is a team that can perform well. It has some players who have been playing continuously in the big leagues for the last few years.”
However, Nepal has suffered a major setback before the World Cup as its leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane has been ruled out of the tournament due to not getting a US visa. The Netherlands team upset South Africa in the T20 World Cup played in Australia in 2022 and Gilchrist believes that defeating this team will not be easy.
