Now the news is that this accused had actually reached there with the intention of breaking into another flat. After the attack on Saif on Thursday midnight, the face of the man running away was captured in the CCTV footage of the building. In his/her alleged statement to the police, the accused has said that he/she had tried to enter another flat in Saif Ali Khan’s building. Let us tell you that Saif Ali Khan lives on the four floors above the 13-storey Sadguru Sharan building. It is being said that when the accused’s attempt to enter the other flat failed, he/she had to enter Saif Ali Khan’s house through the duct.

The name of this accused caught on Sunday has been stated as Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad. Had left for Reiki on 31 December 2024 from Worli-Koliwada staff room, where he/she was staying temporarily. he/she reached Bandra station and kept roaming in Kharwale area along with Bandra. It is said that he/she also asked the rickshaw puller who hired the auto to take him/her to the area where big businessmen and celebrities live.

Reached Khar from Bandra on foot and it took about 2 hours

Police have said that after recce of the place, he/she decided to execute his/her plan on the night of 15 January. It is being told that the accused told the police that he/she reached Bandra station on January 16 and decided to walk instead of taking public transport. It took him/her about 2 hours to reach Khar from Bandra and finally he/she reached Saif Ali Khan’s apartment Satguru Sharan. Shariful used many routes to avoid the cameras and finally entered the building. he/she told the police that he/she found this building quite luxurious and decided to carry out his/her work here.

Entered the actor’s flat through the bathroom window

“he/she entered the building by climbing the four-feet high wall of the campus of a nearby building,” a police officer said. At that time the watchman of Satguru Sharan was taking a nap. he/she used a ladder lying in the building premises to climb up 12 feet and reached a duct from where he/she climbed up using the pipeline. Since the duct on the fourth floor was covered with pigeon net, he/she came out of it and entered the fire escape and climbed to the 10th floor. Then her picture (face covered with scarf) was captured in the CCTV camera installed on the sixth floor. On the 10th floor, he/she entered the actor’s flat through the bathroom window and again entered the duct.’

Saif’s house members thought that he/she had closed the door, but it did not happen

Police investigation revealed that after Saif escaped from his/her 11th floor apartment in Satguru Sharan Building at 2.30 am on January 16, he/she jumped 12 feet from the first floor to the ground to escape. By then there was an uproar in the actor’s house. A maid raised an alarm after spotting the intruder outside the actor’s son’s bedroom, leading to a confrontation with Khan and his/her household staff. They tried to lock the intruder in a room but were unable to do so. When the family ran downstairs to seek help, the intruder had fled. Police said, ‘The victims thought they had locked the door, but it seems the intruder had locked the door from inside before escaping through the fire escape, after which his/her face was captured on CCTV. ‘
