NEET Scam: CBI takes big action in NEET paper leak case, one more mastermind arrested

New Delhi: In the NEET-UG paper leak case, the CBI on Tuesday arrested two more accused including a civil engineer. The accused include Pankaj Kumar Singh alias Aditya and Raju Singh. Like the accused Rakesh Ranjan alias Rocky, who was arrested near Patna on July 11, the CBI has also described one of these Pankaj Singh as the kingpin. In this case, it is not yet clear from the CBI as to who is the real mastermind behind the paper leak. A CBI official said that among the arrested accused, Pankaj Kumar Singh, a resident of Bokaro, has done civil engineering from NIT Jamshedpur in 2017. It is alleged that he/she, along with his/her partner Raju Singh, stole the papers from Hazaribagh from the trunk carrying the NTA papers. After this, the papers were leaked again. Raju is a resident of Hazaribagh in Jharkhand. In this case, the matter is getting entangled in many matters. CBI sources had first pointed to Principal Ehsan-ul-Haq and Vice Principal Imtiyaz Alam of Oasis School in Hazaribagh as the masterminds of the NEET-UG paper leak. Of these, the principal was responsible for bringing the NEET papers from the bank to the centre. It is alleged that he/she leaked the papers on the way. After this, on July 11, the CBI arrested another person named Rakesh Ranjan alias Rocky from near Patna.

CBI also called Pankaj Singh a kingpin

CBI had also called Rocky the kingpin of the paper leak case. Now, out of these two accused arrested from Patna and Hazaribagh on July 16, CBI has also called Pankaj Singh the kingpin. While till now another accused named Sanjeev Mukhiya, who is absconding in this case, is also being considered the mastermind of the paper leak. But it is not clear who the real mastermind is. With these two arrests, till now CBI has arrested 14 accused in this case. CBI says that many links are being found. Important evidence is being collected. By arresting all the suspected accused in this case, it will also try to file a charge sheet as soon as possible. But many angles are opening up in the case. Which are being thoroughly investigated. Connections of all the accused with each other are also being seen. Was this entire episode of paper leak done at the behest of one person or did different gangs carry it out?
