NEET Results 2024: When will the NEET PG result be released? 72 thousand medical seats are going to increase

National Eligibility Criteria PG 2024 The exam was held on August 11. All the students seeking admission in post graduation are eagerly waiting for the result. An official of the National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has said that the results of NEET PG 2024 will be declared by the end of this month. The results will be released on the official website of NBEMS nbe.edu.in. This time the NEET PG exam was conducted at a total of 416 centers in 170 cities of 31 states, in which a total of 2,16,136 candidates appeared.

In the first shift, out of a total of 1,14,276 registered candidates, 1,07,959 students appeared for the exam. While 6,317 students were absent from the exam. NBEMS also informed that the exam was delayed at two centres due to technical reasons in the first shift, with a maximum delay of 45 minutes. Apart from this, there was a delay of less than 30 minutes at three centres.

Talking about the second shift, out of a total of 1,14,264 registered candidates, 1,08,177 appeared for the exam while 6,087 students were absent. Due to some technical reasons, the second shift was delayed by 55 minutes at one exam centre while it was delayed by less than 30 minutes at four centres, NBEMS said in a statement released on August 11.

75,000 medical seats will increase:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced in his/her Independence Day speech that about 75,000 medical seats will be added in the next five years. In his/her address to the nation on August 15, he/she said, ‘In the last 10 years, we have ensured that about 1 lakh medical seats are added. About 25,000 young people go abroad for medical education, and they have to go to places that surprise me. Because of this, we have decided that in the next five years, we will create 75,000 new medical seats.’


PM Modi also spoke about increasing the number of hospitals in the last few years and increasing the number of total medical seats to help medical aspirants achieve their dreams. he/she said, ‘We have expanded the health infrastructure by approving an increase in the number of hospitals. We have also announced an increase in the number of MBBS seats in medical colleges so that our children can fulfill their dream of serving the country by becoming doctors.’
