NEET PG Counseling 2024: What will be the decision in Supreme Court? Know where the matter of NEET counseling is stuck

NEET PG Counseling 2024 Schedule: The Supreme Court will hear on October 25 regarding transparency in the results of NEET PG 2024. Candidates have also expressed concern over the lack of transparency in the result process. Many students had raised concerns over last-minute changes in the exam pattern and other irregularities in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

Students have already expressed their displeasure at the National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) for making the sudden change just three days before the NEET exam. Also, objections are being raised on issues like unclear marking process.

National Board of Examination (NBE) on 11 August NEET PG 2024 exam was conducted and its results were declared on 23rd August. Meanwhile, a group of 19 students filed a petition in the Supreme Court, raising concerns over the lack of transparency in the conduct of the examination and arbitrary last-minute changes.

Students’ anger on social media!

There is also a delay in coming out the schedule of NEET counselling. In this regard, troubled students have vented their anger on social media platform X. he/she has expressed displeasure over the lack of clarity and delay in action from the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC).

NEET PG 2024 counseling registration is currently going on, but the complete counseling schedule has not been announced yet by the officials. The counseling process for 50 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) MD and MS seats across the country is conducted by MCC. It is expected that the schedule of NEET counseling may be released on Wednesday, October 16.

Concern of Indian Medical Association, letter written to Health Minister:

The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has also expressed concern over the delay in the NEET PG 2024 counseling process, which has created a situation of uncertainty for the aspiring students. In a letter to JP Nadda, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, the IMA drew attention to the growing concern over the postponement of the counseling process. Which is currently stalled due to a case going on in the Supreme Court of India. The association suggested finding a suitable and middle path between the hearing in the court.

Meanwhile, the United Doctors Front Association (UDFA) has appealed to Health Minister JP Nadda to intervene in the delay in the NEET PG 2024 counseling process. The association has requested the ministry to take prompt action as the ongoing delay has left more than 2 lakh NEET PG aspirants in a state of stress and anxiety.
