NEET PG Counseling 2024: Delay in NEET counselling, IMA sent important letter to Health Ministry, expressed all the concerns!

NEET PG Counseling Delay 2024: The Indian Medical Association (IMA) on Tuesday expressed immediate concern about the delay in NEET PG 2024 counselling. This counseling has been stopped due to an ongoing case in the Supreme Court. In response to this situation, IMA appealed to Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda has been contacted. The association called on the government to find a short-term solution and urged everyone to find a solution.

A solution that will enable the concerned authorities to start the counseling process while ensuring the welfare of both the students and the healthcare system. However, no response or reply to this letter has been seen from the Health Ministry so far.

In its letter, IMA emphasized that the candidates who have worked diligently to secure PG medical seats are now facing prolonged uncertainty about their future due to the ongoing judicial proceedings. Are. This delay can negatively impact the functioning of healthcare institutions, as timely completion of studies by PG students is essential to maintain the availability of medical professionals in hospitals and medical colleges.

The letter further said that IMA has full respect for the judicial process and also accepts the need for legal clarity. The association wants to ensure that the academic career and professionalism of the students is not compromised due to the delay. The letter urged the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to take proactive steps to resolve the issue.

The IMA has warned that continued delays to the academic calendar could lead to training and recruitment disruptions within the healthcare system. Apart from this, due to non-disclosure of marks this year, many states are facing uncertainty regarding giving incentive marks to the candidates serving in the counseling committee. Because of this, challenges have also arisen regarding the consultation process.
