NEET PG 2024: NEET PG exam breached again? ‘Confidential letter’ surfaced, know what is written in it

But once again the situation does not seem to be clear. A confidential letter has surfaced before the NEET PG exam. All FMG Association (AFA) has posted the photo of NEET PG Letter on its Twitter handle.

Sharing this, AFA has written- ‘It seems that a confidential letter of NBEMS has been leaked. It contains information about exam shifts, number of students. If such a confidential letter can be leaked, can we trust the security of NEET PG Paper?’

NEET PG: What is written in the letter?

The letter is said to have been issued by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), which conducts the NEET PG exam. The letter shared by AFA is marked ‘confidential’ and is signed by NBEMS President Dr Abhijit Sheth. The letter is dated August 1, 2024 and seeks assistance from the district administration and officials for the smooth conduct of the exam.

According to this NEET PG letter, the exam will be conducted in two shifts. The morning shift will be held from 9 am to 12:30 pm and the evening shift will be held from 3:30 pm to 7 pm. Entry for candidates will start from 7 am for the first shift and 1:30 pm for the second shift.

The letter further states that the exam will be conducted in CBT (Computer Based Test) mode, which will require heavy IT infrastructure. The exam will be held for 2,28,542 candidates at 376 NEET PG exam centres in 169 cities.

It is worth noting that earlier NEET PG 2024 exam was to be held on 23rd June. But it was postponed amid the paper leak controversy of NEET UG, UGC NET exams. Now again the news of the leak of the confidential letter by AFA has raised serious concerns just before the NEET PG exam on August 11. Especially because NBEMS has not yet released any additional information about the upcoming exam on its official website natboard.edu.in.
