NEET: NTA took this step amidst the uproar, new PIL will be filed in the Supreme Court

NEET UG 2024 Latest News in Hindi: The Delhi High Court Well Notice has been issued to the National Testing Agency (NTA) on four new petitions related to (UG) examinations. The petitions have challenged the granting of grace marks and have alleged paper leak in the NEET (UG) exam held on May 5. The vacation bench of Justice Neena Bansal Krishna has issued notice on the petitions and sought a reply from the NTA.

On the petitions filed by students Adarsh ​​Raj Gupta, Keya Azad, Mohammad Florez and Anavadya V., Solicitor General (SG) Tushar Mehta told the court that several writ petitions have been filed in various courts including the Supreme Court regarding the examination. The issues raised in these petitions are divided into three parts, which are related to paper leak, discrepancy in questions and grace marks etc.

he/she further said that the NTA is in the process of filing a petition in the Supreme Court to club all the related petitions for hearing. Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court issued notices on the new petitions and posted them for hearing on July 5 before a roster bench.

Last week, a 17-year-old youth had approached the High Court challenging the NTA over alleged discrepancies in the NEET (UG) 2024 exam. The petition filed by the student’s mother on behalf of the student challenges the authenticity of the ‘answer key’ of the exam conducted.

Earlier, the Supreme Court has also issued a notice to NTA. However, no court has refused to stay NEET counseling 2024. Both the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court have given the next date of hearing on NEET as July 5 and July 8 respectively.

NEET Protest: NSUI protests at Jantar Mantar

Demanding the re-conduct of the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET), students staged a ‘Satyagraha’ demonstration at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Many students participated in this demonstration led by the National Students Wing of India (NSUI). During this, the students spoke about the mistakes in the question paper of the pre-medical entrance exam, irregularities in the answer sheet, unfair results and demanded the re-conduct of NEET.

NSUI National President Varun Chaudhary said that the student union stands firmly with the NEET students in their quest for justice. The concerns raised about the transparency and fairness of the NTA examination process cannot be ignored. We demand that the NEET exam be conducted again. NSUI will stand with the students until their demands are met.
