News on National Education Policy: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan took charge at Shastri Bhawan on Thursday. he/she said that the speed of implementation of National Education Policy 2020 will be further accelerated. The New Education Policy has brought about major changes in the education system of the country, which students are benefiting from.

The Education Minister said that the reforms being done from school level to higher education are very important. The Education Ministry has taken important decisions in the last few years to reduce the stress of students. Many more things are in the pipeline in the coming times.

In a meeting with senior officials of the Ministry of Education, including Secretary of the Department of School Education and Literacy Sanjay Kumar, UGC Chairman Prof. M. Jagadeesh Kumar, Higher Education Secretary K. Sanjay Murthy, he/she emphasized on working fast on the mission of education reforms.

NEET, CUET: Entrance exam papers will be easier

The Union Education Minister said that it is important that all students get equal opportunities for education. Efforts should be made in competitive examinations to ensure that students from rural areas also get better opportunities. The government has made efforts in this direction.

It is very important to make the question paper of the entrance test easy. What has been the performance of students in competitive examinations in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya and non-coaching areas in rural areas? A detailed presentation has been asked to be made on this.

Pradhan said that the way a large number of students are appearing in engineering, medical and university competitive examinations, it shows that now students from remote areas are also able to clear the entrance test. A student friendly process is being created and whatever is necessary, the ministry will work in that direction.

NCERT Books: New NCERT books are being prepared

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is also preparing new books. he/she said that PM Narendra Modi focuses a lot on technology and work is being done to improve classroom teaching by using new technologies in education. Pradhan said that he/she has got the opportunity to become the Education Minister for the second consecutive time and he/she will try to accelerate the mission of education reforms.
