NEET 2025: The pattern of NEET will not change completely, a system like UPSC is needed! What did the Education Minister say on NTA exam?

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan himself has talked about this. he/she has confirmed that the pattern of NEET UG 2025 will be new. Some important changes are being made in this examination, which are ready to be implemented from this time itself. But at the same time, Pradhan also said that these changes will not be such that it will shock the students.

‘It’s a matter of children’

Talking on the issue of NEET, the Education Minister said, ‘Understand that JEE is a computer-based test in which about 15 lakh children participate. But in NEET UG this number goes up to 25 lakhs. When it is a question of so many children, we cannot suddenly make any transformation which will be shocking. We need to be cautious when it comes to children. There is a need to see from their perspective also.

What will change in NEET exam 2025? In response to this question, Pradhan further said that ‘Whatever the Radhakrishnan Committee has recommended and whatever the parent ministry of NEET i.e. the Health Ministry says, we will do it. Health Ministry is working on this. Soon the format of NEET UG exam will be decided for 2025.

NTA Exams: Need purity like UPSC

Pradhan was part of the ET roundtable. During this, he/she also talked about the irregularities revealed in the examinations conducted by NTA. he/she said, ‘There is a need to bring a sacred exam model like UPSC in the National Testing Agency examinations. There is a need to involve all state governments and district level administrative machinery. So that full accountability for transparency in the examination can be fixed.

Why is the pattern of NEET changing?

Last year, many cases of irregularities were reported in the NEET exam. The NEET issue was in the headlines for months. Hearings were held from Delhi High Court to Supreme Court. Political parties also did not lag behind in baking their own bread. But ultimately it was the students who suffered the loss. Allegations ranged from paper leak to grace marks, duplicate candidates to selling of centres. Evidence of some allegations was also found. After this, the Supreme Court formed a high level committee and ordered to suggest necessary changes.
