NEET 2024 Update: Finally NTA admitted the mistake, but.. now the NEET rank of lakhs of children will change

News about NEET 2024 in Hindi: After 9 days of continuous fight, the National Testing Agency- NTA has finally accepted its mistake. NTA, which had earlier repeatedly justified the grace marks in NEET, has admitted in the Supreme Court that the decision of Grace Marks in NEET was wrong. Along with this, the NEET result of those children who got grace marks has been cancelled. But, this will not only affect 1563 children, but more than 13 lakh children. Because now NEET Rank 2024 will change.

NEET Re Exam Date 2024: NEET exam on 23rd June

On Thursday, June 13, the Supreme Court heard the petition filed on NEET Grace Marks 2024. NTA told the Supreme Court that it was not fair to give NEET Grace Marks. Therefore, the NEET Score Cards of 1563 children who were given grace marks are being cancelled. NEET exam will be held again for them on June 23. The result will be declared on June 30.

NEET 2024 Merit List will change

It is important to note here that this decision should not be seen only from the point of view that it has affected only 1563 children. No. This decision is going to affect all those students who have qualified NEET 2024.

Understand it like this- the marks of the children who will be re-examined will not be the same as before. So it is obvious that when the marks change, the rank they have got now will also change. If the rank of even one child changes, then it affects the ranks before and after him/her. Suppose someone’s rank was 8 which changed to 20. So the one whose rank was 9 will become 8 and the one who was previously on 20th rank will move to 21st.

According to this, major changes can be expected in the merit list/ rank list of NEET UG 2024. NTA may need to release the complete list and new NEET scorecards again. However, the agency has not said anything about this yet.

NEET 2024 Counseling Date: When will NEET UG counseling be held

The apex court (SC) has refused to stay NEET 2024 counselling. But NEET UG 2024 counselling date has not been released yet. Soon the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will release the NEET counselling schedule 2024 on the official website. Keep visiting mcc.nic.in.
