New Delhi: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today held a meeting with Chief Ministers and officials of Naxalite affected states and reviewed the security situation. he/she said that by the year 2026 we will eliminate Naxalism. Along with this, Amit Shah praised the development campaign being run by the Chhattisgarh government in Naxal affected areas.

There has been a significant reduction in Naxalite violence

Regarding the development of Naxalite affected areas, Amit Shah said that Naxalite areas are now on the path of development. The work of expanding roads and mobile network is going on there rapidly. At the same meeting, officials said that due to the strategy of the PM Modi-led government, there has been a 72 percent reduction in Naxalite attacks. Now Naxalites are fighting their last battle.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah emphasized the government’s success against Naxalism and highlighted the efforts being made for the development of tribal areas. he/she said that Naxalism is the enemy of humanity and it is the biggest obstacle in the development of tribal areas. Amit Shah said that in comparison to 2004-2014, more than three times the amount has been spent in the Security Related Expenditure (SRE) scheme in 2014-2024. During this period, the road network has been increased from 2,090 kilometers to 11,500 kilometers and more than 15,300 mobile towers have been installed.

The number of Naxal affected districts also decreased

he/she said that there has been a huge reduction in the incidents of violence and the number of affected districts has come down from 96 to 42. he/she said, “Incidents of violence have come down from 16,463 to 7700 and this number will come down further by next year. Deaths of civilians and security forces have come down by 70%. The number of districts reporting violence has come down from 96 to The number of police stations reporting violence has decreased from 465 to 171, out of which only 120 police stations are reporting violence. the result is.
