What is the importance of energy?

National Energy Conservation Day is celebrated every year on 14 December in India. It is organized by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE). Its objective is to make people aware of the importance of energy conservation. They have to explain why it is important to use energy in moderation and stop its misuse.

What is energy crisis?

Sources like coal, petroleum and natural gas are traditional energy sources. These are limited. That means it will end at some point. Their excessive use can create great danger. Today, due to lack of energy, we have to import daily essentials like oil and gas from other countries at expensive prices.
