It can also be called a zero energy building. That is, a building that operates on zero energy use. In simple terms, understand it like this – the campus will produce the same amount of energy (renewable energy) as it uses in a year.

The campus of Nalanda University functions as a ‘Net Zero’ Green Campus. It has solar power plants, water treatment and recycling facilities, extensive water bodies and other eco-friendly features.
