Mumbai Police’s statement in the ‘attack’ case on Raveena Tandon, the actress had not consumed alcohol


A clash broke out outside Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon’s house on Saturday over a minor issue of parking. Now a statement was issued by the Mumbai Police on Sunday. The video of the incident is going viral on social media, in which Raveena can be seen being pushed by people and trying to beat up her driver. Police say that both the parties have refused to file a complaint. No one was injured in this ‘attack’. Mumbai Police said, ‘Raveena Tandon’s driver was trying to turn the car backwards to park it and three members of a family felt that they would get hit. After the argument, both the parties left and later the police reached the spot and questioned the actress’s staff. The other party was also called to the police station. Both the parties refused to file any complaint.’

Video went viral on social media

This statement of Mumbai Police has come after the video of the incident went viral on social media, in which Raveena Tandon is requesting people to remain calm and can also be heard saying, ‘Don’t kill me.’

There was no comment from Raveena

According to police reports, the incident took place on Carter Road in Bandra on Saturday night. Though no formal First Information Report (FIR) has been filed, an official said a station diary entry has been recorded at the Khar police station. Raveena is yet to comment on the incident. Reportedly, her driver hit three persons with the car, which angered the gathered crowd and led to a confrontation.

Raveena accused of being drunk

Accusing Raveena Tandon of being drunk, a man said that as soon as she got out of the car, she (Raveena) started attacking the woman. An officer from Khar police station said that CCTV footage was examined, the car did not hit anyone and the actress was not drunk. The officer said that the incident happened when the driver reversed his/her car.

No one was injured in the incident, nor was any complaint lodged

Mumbai Police has confirmed that no one was injured in the incident and no complaint has been lodged by any party.
