Mumbai local update: Local trains in Mumbai will not run on this route between 2nd and 3rd December, know the reason

There is an important news for the people living in and around Mumbai. Trains will not run on the Kalyan-Ambernath section during the night of 2nd and 3rd December. Actually, Central Railway is going to implement a special traffic block on Up and Down South-Eastern lines. Central Railway announced this scheme last Thursday. According to the news of Financial Express, the purpose of this block is to facilitate the launching of Foot Over Bridge (FOB) girders at Ulhasnagar in Thane district. Let us tell you, the scheduled block will be for two hours, which will be from 1:20 pm to 3:20 am.

Central Railway trains canceled

An official release from Central Railway states that in view of the block, some trains will be cancelled, and short-termination will be implemented on some late night trains. The last local departure from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) to Karjat is scheduled at 11:30 pm, and the last local departure from Khopoli to CSMT is scheduled at 11:15 pm. Apart from this, the departure time of the first local on Sunday morning has also been adjusted. All up and down services on the south-east side will remain canceled between Kalyan and Ambernath stations during the block period, the release said. In such a situation, if you have to go on this route today, then you should be prepared to go or come by other means. This will save you from trouble.

New GM of Central Railway takes charge from today

Ram Karan Yadav has taken charge as the new GM of Central Railway from December 1. He is an Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE) officer of 1986 batch. Before taking charge as General Manager of Central Railway, he was serving as Director General of Indian Railway Institute of Civil Engineering (IRICEN), Pune. He will replace Naresh Lalwani.
