Bhopal: Three days after the elections, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan was again seen in action mode on Tuesday. He reached the Ministry located at Vallabh Bhawan and started taking a review meeting of the officers of the Cooperative Department. The Chief Minister reviewed the status of Kharif fertilizer system and Rabi sowing in the ministry. The Chief Minister said that even though the code of conduct is implemented in the state, the public should not face any kind of problems, it is the responsibility of the officers.
Till now bumper sowing of Rabi crop has been done in the state. At the same time, sowing work is going on in some places. In comparison to last year, more than 5 percent sowing has been done this season. According to officials, so far Rabi crop has been sown in 81 lakh 71 thousand hectare area in Madhya Pradesh. This figure is 5.33 percent more than last year. Officials have given this information to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan took information from the officials of Agriculture and Cooperation Department about agricultural sowing, food distribution and fertilizer distribution in the state. The Chief Minister obtained information about division-wise availability, sale and remaining stock status of Urea, DAP, NPK, SSP. Officials said that adequate stock of fertilizers is available. 422 sales centers of marketing association are operated, cash fertilizer sales have been started from 154 sales centers of marketing cooperative societies.
An additional 92 sales centers have been started by marketing cooperative societies and token arrangements are being made for farmers to avoid queues. The Chief Minister said that according to the information given by the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in the state in the next two-three days, after which the demand for fertilizer will increase, hence adequate availability of fertilizer and proper distribution system should be ensured at all the centres.
