Movie Review: ‘Love, Sitara’ is a beautiful film that explores relationships on the occasion of marriage.

Every person is running in the race of fast-paced life, but no matter how much one runs, he/she is not able to get rid of the truths of his/her past, especially childhood. Especially there are some truths which you have forgotten, but they come in front of you at some point in your life. The film Love, Sitara is also the story of a similar girl, who is facing the truth related to her past. This film, shot during Covid, was waiting for release for a long time. Now it has been released directly on OTT on Zee5.

Story of ‘Love, Sitara’

The film is the story of a successful interior designer named Sitara (Shobhita Dhulipala), who lives in Mumbai. Like her name, Sitara, who has won the title of Best Designer, has climbed many steps of success in life. She has rejected the marriage proposal of her chef boyfriend Arjun (Rajeev Siddharth) several times. She had kept distance from her boyfriend for the last several months, but suddenly she gets ready for marriage.

Sitara’s father, the owner of many hotels, wants to marry his/her daughter with great pomp in one of his/her hotels. But Sitara wants her wedding to take place at her grandmother’s house in a small village in Kerala, where she spent her childhood. Sitara and Arjun’s families reach the village for the wedding. Apart from him/her, only his/her father is there in Arjun’s family. On behalf of Sitara, her parents, grandmother, aunt and two of her friends arrive to attend the wedding.

Here wedding preparations and rituals are going on. On the other hand, Sitara comes face to face with some truths related to her parents’ life that she starts feeling that everything in her life is falling apart. Is Sitara able to save her upcoming marriage and her parents’ marriage? To know this you will have to watch the film.

‘Love, Sitara’ Movie Review

The film’s director Vandana Kataria has made a shocking film on the bitter truths related to family, with which many people can agree. The film hooks you right from the beginning. Especially in the film, things related to relationships in the wedding house have been beautifully highlighted.

After the interval the story takes a more exciting turn. The music of the film helps in taking the story forward, while the cinematography has also become beautiful. Especially the beautiful locations of Kerala and beautiful shots of traditional wedding will fascinate you a lot.

If we talk about the acting of the artists, Shobhita Dhulipala is in strong form. She is very convincing in the role of a pregnant woman who is going to get married. The rest of the actors of the film including Rajeev Siddharth have also done a good job.
