Movie Review: Boman Irani and Avinash Tiwari’s ‘The Mehta Boys’ makes a poignant investigation into relationships

‘The Mehta Boys’ has now come on OTT after receiving praise in all the film festivals like Chicago, Toronto, South Asian, Germany, Berlin, Iffi. There is no dearest to say that the film, debut as a director of a strong actor like Boman Irani, makes such a subtle investigation into complex relationships that you are motivated to rethink your relationships. The film owns Boman himself in the central role and he/she has taken the command of the actor as well as the direction very beautifully.

Story of ‘The Mehta Boys’
Set in Navsari, Gujarat, the film is from Shiv Mehta (Boman Irani) and his/her son Amay (Avinash Tiwari). Shiva Mehta is a retired elder. his/her wife has passed away recently. ‘The Mehta Boys’ movie review

It is also less amazing that at the age of 41, when Boman made an acting debut in films, the first film was proved by Munna Bhai MBBS, and today at the age of 65 when he/she directed. he/she took over the reins, even then he/she did a great job of investigating the relationship between father and son. As a director, Boman takes some time to establish the story and the characters, but once these things are set, you start living with those characters.

The emotional depth of the story reminds you of the relationships or events around you. Be it a stressful relationship between father and son or a comfortable relationship between brother and sister, you feel, such characters are also in your own life. The film is as poignant, the more entertaining. After the second half, the story moves forward with full enthusiasm and kharosh and tears come out in the climax.

Along with the direction of the film, Boman, along with the Oscar winning writer Alexander Dinlaris, has neatly decorated its screenplay. The background score of the film corresponds to the sensitivity of the subject.

Boman has rode four boats such as acting in addition to construction, direction and writing. Even in the case of acting, he/she did not prove to be twenty -up from anywhere. To love his/her son, but not to say and he/she has lived his/her character full of strangeness.

Avinash Tiwari has acted brilliant and restrained as son Amay. he/she has done heart touching work in many scenes such as the car accident and rain in the rain.

In this complex story, Shreya works to give relief in Zara’s role. he/she has made his/her part memorable. Pooja Sarup leaves her mark in a small role of sister.

Why see- Do watch this film fond of family films.
