The Statistics Agency of Uzbekistan has shared a report, which states that 5733 Indian students are studying in Uzbekistan in the academic year 2023-24. According to the report, Indians are the largest group among international students. Pakistan is at second place, whose 1358 students are studying in Uzbekistan. Turkmenistan comes at third place with 904 students. India’s Ministry of External Affairs data showed that till January 1 this year, 4100 Indian students were in Uzbekistan.

There are 904 students from Russia, 537 students from Kazakhstan and 285 students from both Tajikistan and Kyrgyz Republic studying in Babar’s country. 196 students from Afghanistan, 182 from China, 176 from Korea and 124 from Canada are also studying in Uzbekistan.
