Madhya Pradesh stood second in this matter. CSE Director General Sunita Narayan says that this trend is not imaginary. This is visible in the growing crisis we are facing today.

What did CSE Director General Sunita Narayan say?

According to Sunita Narayan, this report is not good news, but it is definitely an important warning. he/she has given many important instructions regarding natural disaster and taking necessary steps to reduce it. he/she said that without combating climate change on a meaningful level, today’s challenges will become worse tomorrow.

If we look at the region wise figures in the report, the weather wreaked havoc in Central India for maximum 218 days. After this comes North-West where such conditions remained for 213 days. Central India also remained at the forefront in terms of deaths where 1,001 people died. This is followed by South Peninsula (762 deaths), East and North-East (741 deaths) and North-West (734 deaths).

The figures of the report will shock you.

However, CSE analysts say that these figures may be less than the reality as complete information about the loss is not available. Especially in case of loss of public property and crops, the data is not available correctly. Referring to the seasonal record of 2024, CSE reported that the month of January was the ninth driest month in India since 1901.

The country recorded the second highest minimum temperature in February this year after 123 years. At the same time, the fourth highest average temperature was recorded in May. July, August and September all recorded their highest minimum temperatures since 1901.
