More than 200 rallies, road shows and meetings, 80 interviews… PM Modi’s marathon election campaign was like this in the Lok Sabha elections

New Delhi: This time the Lok Sabha election is being held in seven phases and the result of the election will be declared on June 4. The code of conduct came into force with the announcement of the Lok Sabha elections by the Election Commission on March 16. In such a situation, all the political parties had put in their full strength for election campaigning in favor of their party. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was already on a marathon tour of almost all the states across the country before the election code of conduct came into force. But, with the announcement of the election date, his/her campaign which started from the southern end of the country ended in Hoshiarpur, Punjab in the north. Where PM Modi addressed an election rally on Thursday.

PM Modi did 180 rallies and road shows
In this election, PM Modi’s hard work in favour of the party was clearly visible. On one side were firebrand leaders of the opposition like Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav, Arvind Kejriwal and on the other side Narendra Modi was seen competing with everyone with his/her energy during the entire election campaign. Starting the election campaign from Palnadu in Andhra Pradesh, PM Modi concluded this campaign on 30 May in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. That means in this period of 75 days, PM Modi has done 180 rallies and road shows.

Gave more than 80 interviews

If we look at the number of rallies of PM Modi, his/her road shows and other programs, then this number is 206. Along with this, he/she gave his/her interview to more than 80 media channels, newspapers, YouTubers, online media mediums during this period. This means that on an average, PM Modi participated in more than two rallies and road shows along with programs every day. At the same time, PM Modi had done 15 rallies till 15th of February and March before the announcement of elections in March.

Most rallies in UP
PM Modi has held the maximum number of 22 public meetings and a total of 31 election programs in UP. Along with this, he/she has held 11 rallies in Karnataka, 11 in Telangana, 7 in Tamil Nadu, 5 in Andhra Pradesh and 3 in Kerala. PM Modi addressed 20 election programs in Bihar and 19 election programs in Maharashtra along with 20 rallies in West Bengal. Along with this, PM held 10 election programs in Odisha and Madhya Pradesh. At the same time, PM’s focus was also on Jharkhand, where he/she held 7 programs. If you look at the number of election rallies of PM Modi in 2019, you will know that he/she held 142 public meetings in that election.

PM will go to Kanyakumari today
After wrapping up the Lok Sabha election campaign, PM Modi will visit Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu from May 30 to June 1, where he/she will visit the famous Vivekananda Rock Memorial. The PM has planned to meditate at Dhyan Mandapam from the evening of May 30 to the evening of June 1; it is the same place where Swami Vivekananda once meditated. It is the southernmost tip of India. Also, it is the place where the eastern and western coastlines of India meet. It is also the meeting point of the Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea. By visiting Kanyakumari, PM Modi is signalling national unity. The PM is known to undertake a spiritual journey at the end of the election campaign. In this sequence, he/she will reach Kanyakumari on May 30 and will stay there till June 1. In 2019, he/she visited Kedarnath and in 2014, Shivaji’s Pratapgarh. The Prime Minister started his/her election campaign for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections from Kanyakumari on March 16 this year.
