Monsoon is bidding farewell to the country, the sun will show its ferocity again, get ready for the scorching heat!

New Delhi: The mood of the weather is going to change once again in many states of the country including Delhi-NCR. While monsoon has rained heavily in most places since the beginning of September, now it is going to take a break. Along with this, there is a possibility of increase in temperature in the coming days. There is going to be a slight increase in temperature from September 19 in most parts of the country, including North-West India. At the same time, according to the Meteorological Department, the withdrawal of monsoon from North-West India may start by September 22.

Monsoon is leaving sooner than expected after 8 years

If this happens, it will be the earliest withdrawal of monsoon in the last eight years. Weather experts say that after this there will be a slight increase in temperature. This phase will continue for a few days. At the same time, days and nights will start getting cold from the beginning of October.

The rain will gradually decrease

IMD Director General M. Mohapatra said, ‘The temperature will remain below normal till September 19 but will increase slightly after that. The Meteorological Department has predicted that after September 19, the rains in North-West India will gradually start decreasing. According to the Meteorological Department’s forecast, there is less chance of rain in most parts of the country except East India in the week of September 26 to October 3.

This time it will be colder than usual

The Meteorological Department is now issuing forecasts for the coming months. This year, there may be a change from El Nino to La Nina, which can affect the weather of the entire country. M. Rajeevan, former secretary of the Ministry of Earth Sciences, said, ‘The arrival of cold weather depends on how the mid-latitude western disturbances progress. In a La Nina year, we should expect colder than normal.’

El Nino and La Nina are temperature cycles in the Pacific Ocean that have a major impact on global weather. El Nino occurs when the Pacific Ocean near the equator is warmer than normal. This leads to drought conditions in India. La Nina is the opposite.

When is the monsoon going away?

Another expert said that the monsoon is expected to withdraw by the end of this month. Mahesh Palawat of a private weather agency said, ‘It seems that the temperature will start falling soon as the winds change to the north. But whether it will be cold or a slight drop, we cannot say because it depends on when the western disturbances start affecting the northern region.’

Let us tell you that since the beginning of June this year, many parts of North India have received more rain than normal. Since June 1, the country has received an average of 8% more rain. Last year, the monsoon started retreating around September 25. In 2022, it will be around September 30.
