Modi Government 3.0: India will be Naxalism free by 2026, know where Modi government invested in 100 days

New Delhi: On Monday, Modi Government 3.0 completed 100 days. Meanwhile, where does the country stand in terms of eliminating Naxalism and infrastructure? In response to this, security agencies say that if we talk about Naxalism, then looking at the current strategy of the government, it seems certain that by 2026 this name will become history in the country. Then Union Home Minister Amit Shah himself has said that by March 2026, left wing extremism will be completely eradicated from the country.

An effective strategy was created

On Left Wing Extremism, Amit Shah had said in the inter-state coordination meeting of secretaries and police chiefs of Naxal-affected states Chhattisgarh and neighbouring states in Raipur on 24 August last month that now the time has come to make a strong and cruel strategy against Left Wing Extremism and give the final blow. The days of ending this decades-old problem are now near. In this regard, the police of the concerned states and officials of other agencies including CRPF also believe that the government has worked on a large scale to end Naxalism. In the 100 days agenda, a strategy was made in a very effective manner.

Naxalism decreased in the country

Statistics show that in the last four decades, about 17 thousand people have died due to this problem. Apart from common people, these include people associated with CAPF and Naxal movement. Amit Shah had said that after the formation of Modi government, we took it as a challenge and the result is in front of everyone. This year’s performance was much better than all other years. If we talk about Lok Sabha elections, people voted in Chandameta village of Madhya Pradesh and six villages of Sukma after four decades. Between 2014 and 2024, there has been a 53 percent reduction in left wing incidents and a 70 percent reduction in the number of security personnel and civilians killed in these incidents.

The result of continuous attack by security agencies on left wing extremism is that the number of districts affected by left wing extremism has come down from 126 in 2013 to 38 now. Between 2019 and 2024, Bihar, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh have become almost free from Naxalism. Except for one district Gadchiroli in Maharashtra, Naxalism is no longer a big problem here. This problem still remains in Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand, including Bijapur and Narayanpur in Chhattisgarh. A strategy is being made to overcome this too. Security agencies say that the way Naxalism is being attacked, it seems that it will be wiped out in 2015 itself before March 2026.

Talking about infrastructure development, the government claims that projects worth Rs 3 lakh crore have been approved in 100 days. This mainly includes road, rail, port and airways. Emphasis is being laid on high speed corridors, new airports, running more and more trains in the country. Villages which did not have road connectivity are being connected there. Work was started to build the Shin-Khun-La tunnel connecting Ladakh to Himachal Pradesh. Eight new rail projects were approved. Many other development works including new runways in Agatti and Minicoy and expansion of Phase-3 of Bengaluru Metro, Pune Metro and Thane Integral Ring Road Metro Rail Project were approved in these 100 days.
