Mismatched 3: Romance fades in the mix of virtual-real, this is the series of Rohit Saraf and Prajakta

Dimple Ahuja (Prajakta Koli), a middle class girl from Ambala who loves technology with all her heart, and Rishi Singh Shekhawat (Rohit Saraf), a true lover of the royal family of Jaipur, who is deeply in love, i.e. a completely mismatched pair and when they What happens when both meet? This is the story of the web series ‘Mismatched’. Based on writer Sandhya Menon’s book When Dimple Met Rishi, two seasons of this series have already arrived and the pairing of Dimple and Rishi i.e. Prajakta Koli and Rohit Saraf has already been liked a lot among the young audience. Their chemistry is good even in the third season, but in terms of story, the series proves to be very weak and superficial.

Story of ‘Mismatched 3’

The story continues from the previous season. Where Dimple Nandini is sitting sad in Ambala even after three years due to not being selected in Nahata Institute of Technology i.e. NNIT. Whereas, Rishi has become the star of NNIT. he/she is creating a virtual world called Betterverse, where people can forget real life and live their dreams. Meanwhile, Sid Sir (Ranvijay Singh) starts his/her new institute near NNIT, due to which Rishi and Dimple’s long distance relationship ends in exile.

But the ups and downs in their relationship continue in this season too. While Anmol (Taruk Raina) corrects his/her past mistakes and moves forward in love with Vinny (Ehsaas Channa), there is a new entry in Celina Muskaan Jaffrey’s life and campus in the form of Ritika aka Rith (Lauren Robinson). Who has come there with different intentions. Now, what kind of twists and turns their relationship goes through, it will be known only by watching this series.

Review of ‘Mismatched 3’

Despite having a team of five writers each like Ghazal Dhaliwal, Arsh Vora, Sunayana Kumari, Nandini Gupta and Akshay Jhunjhunwala in the series directed by Akarsh Khurana, this time the story lacks depth. There has also been stinginess in expanding the graph of the characters. Initially, the story seems to be drawn in the name of Valentine’s Day and sometimes in the name of Pride Week, as if the writers have nothing to say. Yes, later after Rishi and Dimple come together, some lovely moments start appearing again on the screen.

Acting of the actors in ‘Mismatched 3’

Rohit Saraf’s charm and honest acting is captivating, but sadly such scenes are very few. Emotions and romance have fallen short in the story woven between the virtual and real world. On top of that, the new attraction that has been added this season in the form of Ritika/Rith, who is struggling with gender dysphoria (sex change surgery), also doesn’t seem natural.

Rest, the actors have tried their best to save the honor of the series. Rohit’s magic has worked this time too. Prajakta has again shown natural acting. Apart from him/her, Lauren Robinson as Rith and Taruk Raina as Anmol also impress. Whereas, Rannvijay, Vidya Malvade, Dipannita Sharma did not have much to do in this season. Yes, some songs on romantic moments are definitely melodious, so overall if you are a big fan of Rohit Saraf, then you will like the series.
