Milos Vusvik stepped as Serbian Prime Minister




The ruling party of Serbia’s Progressive Party Serbia announced on Tuesday that Prime Minister Milos Wuswik presented its “resignation”.

In a statement, the party quoted the responsibility of those under the leadership of Wuswik and revealed that his/her decision came after a conversation with Serbian President Alexander Person, who accepted his/her resignation.

In a rough translation, the Serbian Progressive Party wrote on X, “Milos Vusvik @milos_vucevic announced that he/she was presenting his/her resignation from that situation, and emphasized that by doing so, We are performing. The responsibility of those who have been elected to be responsible. ,

In a statement, the party said, “Milos Vusvik, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, today announced that he/she was resigning from that situation. Wusvik said that when students were attacked, they took irreversible decisions to resign after the previous night incidents in Novi Sad. ,

According to Radio Free Europe, thousands of protesters took the streets of Serbian capital Belgrade as a general strike across the country on 24 January.

The protesters demanded accountability and justice for the victims killed in the collapse of the roof of a railway station in Novi Sad last November.

The students blocked more than 60 faculties and two university headquarters on 24 January in the Serbian capital. The protesters marked the 15 -minute silence to remember everyone killed in the collapse of the railway station. For a general strike, he/she urged the citizens to avoid going to work, shopping, or doing any other financial transactions. More than 200 companies in Serbia announced that they had suspended the operation in solidarity with students on 24 January.
