New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi termed the 2024 Lok Sabha elections as the biggest election in the world. he/she said that 65 crore people have exercised their franchise and reiterated their unwavering faith in the Constitution and the democratic systems of the country. Prime Minister Modi said this while sharing his/her views with the countrymen in the 111th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, the monthly radio program of ‘Akashvani’. he/she said that today I also thank the countrymen for the fact that they have reiterated their unwavering faith in our Constitution and the democratic systems of the country. The election of the year 2024 was the biggest election in the world. Such a big election has never been held in any country of the world, in which 65 crore people have cast their votes.

The Prime Minister congratulated the Election Commission and everyone involved in the voting process for successfully conducting the Lok Sabha elections. he/she mentioned the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign launched this year on World Environment Day. PM Modi said that the campaign to plant trees under this is progressing rapidly. he/she said that everyone is planting trees for their mothers. Whether they are rich or poor, whether they are working women or housewives. This campaign has given an equal opportunity to express affection towards mothers. The campaign to plant trees in the name of mother will not only honour our mothers but will also protect Mother Earth.

The Prime Minister congratulated the countrymen on ‘Hool Diwas’ celebrated on 30 June and said that the tribal brothers and sisters of the country celebrate it with great pomp. Remembering the great freedom fighters Sido-Kanhu, he/she said that their sacrifice still inspires the countrymen. he/she also played a recording of a part of a song in Santhali language dedicated to these two freedom fighters.

Paris Olympics mentioned

During his/her address, the Prime Minister also mentioned the Paris Olympics and expressed hope that Indian players will perform excellently in it. he/she urged people to use the hashtag Cheer4India to encourage the players. he/she said that through this hashtag we have to encourage our players… so maintain this momentum. This momentum of yours… will help in showing the magic of India to the world.

This time ‘Mann Ki Baat’ after 25 February

This is the first episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ after PM Modi assumed the post of Prime Minister for the third consecutive time. The last episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program was broadcast on 25 February. The broadcast of this program was postponed in view of the model code of conduct implemented after the announcement of Lok Sabha elections. The Prime Minister had said in its 110th edition that the next time he/she will meet people through this program, he/she will meet them with new energy and new information.
