MBBS studies will start in ESIC Medical College, Noida will start with 50 seats.

MBBS studies will start from January in ESIC Hospital located in Noida Sector 24. The hospital had applied for MBBS course for two months. Now the effort to start studies has gained momentum. MBBS studies will start in January 2025 with 50 seats. The hospital management has sent a letter of permission to Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Lucknow to start the MBBS course. Medical PG courses – MD and MS courses will also be introduced here. Besides, after getting the permission for MBBS, the facility of graduate course will also be available. At present, five subjects – Medicine, Surgery, Gynecologist, Eye and Pediatric DNB courses are being conducted in the hospital. To start MBBS course, the hospital needs Anatomy, Biochemistry and Physiology departments. For the anatomy department, help will be taken from the Medical College of Faridabad.

ESIC Hospital Noida will be the first 500 bed hospital

After getting permission for MBBS course, other facilities will also be started for the students. ESIC Hospital, Noida Sector 24 has 350 beds. Application has been made for 150 more beds. After getting permission, it will become the first 500 bed hospital in the district.

The facility of eight beds in ESIC’s ICU and 42 beds in the general ward has been increased. Earlier there were 300 beds. Due to lack of beds, patients had to face a lot of problems. ESIC management has sent a proposal to Delhi headquarters to increase 150 beds. There is OPD for 1800 patients every day. In such a situation, he/she had to remain waiting for treatment. Now after increasing the beds, patients will not have to be referred. Due to shortage of beds, patients had to be referred to other ESIC hospitals.

After getting permission for 150 more beds, the patients of ICU and general ward will get more convenience. Till now, the maximum number of beds allowed in government hospitals in the district is only in ESIC. Facility of 350 beds is already available. Now after getting 150 beds, it will become a 500 bed hospital. 240 beds are allowed in the district hospital.
