MBBS in Hindi: Now medical studies will be done in Hindi in 3 states, here you will be able to do MBBS in your mother tongue

The Rajasthan government has taken a big decision. Now, along with English, studies will also be conducted in Hindi in the medical colleges of the state. This announcement was made on Hindi Diwas (14 September). Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh have also announced to start MBBS studies in Hindi. This change will be implemented in Rajasthan in a phased manner. First of all, studies in Hindi will start in Jodhpur’s Sampurnanand Medical College and Barmer Medical College from the academic session 2024-25.
Both these colleges are affiliated to Marwar Medical University. Principal Secretary of Medical Education Department, Gayatri Rathore said that studying MBBS in Hindi will be optional for the students. The state government has also talked about including Hindi language in medical education in its budget.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel also announced that MBBS course in the state will now be taught in Hindi as well. This arrangement will be implemented from the current academic session itself. Baghel said that his/her government is happy to implement the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in which he/she had talked about imparting medical education in Hindi during a rally in Uttar Pradesh in 2022.

he/she told the media, ‘Our government has taken a big decision on Hindi Diwas. MBBS course will now be taught in Hindi as well. From this session (2024-25), first year books will be available in Hindi. The health department has been asked to arrange for books and study material.’
