Mayank Yadav should not be given a chance in Test right now: RP Singh

Mumbai Indian cricket team’s new sensation fast bowler Mayank Yadav won everyone’s hearts with his/her brilliant bowling against Bangladesh. On his/her T20 debut, he/she troubled the batsmen a lot with his/her fast ball. Former left-arm fast bowler RP Singh believes that there should be no hurry in bringing Mayank Yadav into Test cricket. he/she is in the early stages of his/her career.

Mayank, who impressed with his/her pace in the Indian Premier League (IPL), made a great debut for India in the opening T20 against Bangladesh in Gwalior. Mayank has played only one first-class match so far but considering his/her special talent, he/she has been included in the national team.

RP Singh is impressed by Mayank’s pace and control but feels that it is too early for such a bowler to be a part of the five-Test series in Australia. he/she said, “Aakash Deep should be in the fast bowling attack for the Australia tour. his/her way of bowling seems better. Mayank Yadav has pace, which is an aspect of fast bowling.

“There are many variations and skills which develop gradually,” he/she said in a conversation organized by Jio Cinema. Mayank is in the initial stage of his/her career. There is a lot of workload in a test match. Your patience and skills are tested. Mayank has not played as much domestic cricket as Akash Deep or Mohammed Shami (before joining the Indian team). Mayank is still yet to reach that level. Akash Deep is a better option.
