Market Capitalization: Last week, the market capitalization of eight of the 10 most valuable companies increased by Rs 1,35,794.06 crore. In this, State Bank of India (SBI) and Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) got the maximum increase. Last week, the 30-share BSE Sensex gained 995.45 points or 1.66 per cent.
Among the top 10 companies, only Hindustan Unilever Limited and Bharti Airtel declined.
The market capitalization of State Bank of India increased by Rs 35,029.1 crore to Rs 5,47,257.19 crore. The market capitalization of Reliance Industries increased by Rs 31,568.08 crore to Rs 17,23,979.45 crore. During this period, the valuation of Adani Enterprises increased by Rs 24,898.33 crore to Rs 4,39,966.33 crore and that of HDFC Bank increased by Rs 16,535.08 crore to Rs 9,07,505.41 crore.
Reliance Industries remains the most valuable company. It was followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Infosys, ICICI Bank, Hindustan Unilever, State Bank of India, HDFC, Bharti Airtel and Adani Enterprises.
On the last trading day of the year 2022, the Indian stock market has closed with a decline. The market opened with a boom in the morning but profit-booking returned to the market before closing and the BSE Sensex closed at 60,840 points below 61000 with a fall of 293 points. While NSE’s Nifty closed at 18,105 points with a fall of 86 points.
Market experts are of the opinion that this year the Indian markets will be affected by domestic and global factors, including the Corona virus situation and policy initiatives in the general budget.
