Mark Zuckerberg reveals Biden administration forced FB to censor content on COVID vaccine

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed on Friday that the Biden administration forced Facebook to censor content related to COVID-19 vaccines.

Zuckerberg made this statement in the Joe Rogan podcast.

During the interview on a range of topics, Zuckerberg talked about the issue of government censorship and said, “It made the biggest impact. I would say it was during the Biden administration when they were trying to start the vaccine program. Now I’m generally pretty pro-vaccination, I think there are more positives than negatives about vaccines, but I think when they were trying to push that program forward they didn’t have anyone arguing against it. Also tried to censor the person.

“They put immense pressure on us to remove things that were honestly true. I mean, they basically pushed us and said, ‘You know anything that says vaccines can have side effects, you have to take it’ and I said we’re not going to do that”, Zuckerberg said.

Referring to the investigation and committee formed to investigate government censorship, Mark Zuckerberg said, “We prepared all these documents and they are all in the public domain. I mean, these people from the Biden administration will call our team and yell at them and curse at them.

Zuckerberg continued, “It just got to the point where we were like, no, we’re not going to remove true things. This is ridiculous. They want us to put out this meme of Leonardo DiCaprio where he/she’s on TV talking about how 10 years from now or something, you’re going to see an ad that says, OK, if you have a COVID If you have taken the vaccine, you are eligible for it. This type of payout, this type of class action lawsuit type of meme. And they say, no, you have to remove it. We said, no, we will not remove the humor and satire. We are not going to remove the real things. And then at some point, I think, I don’t know, it turned around a little bit. I mean, Biden made some statement at some point, I don’t know if it was a press conference or to some reporters where he/she said, these guys are killing people. And, and, I don’t know, then all these different agencies and branches of the government came after our company and started investigating. It was, it was brutal. It was cruel.”
