Heavy snowfall is currently being seen in the upper parts of Sikkim, due to which the temperature has dropped sharply and the condition of the roads has also become challenging. Let us tell you, due to such weather, black ice has formed in Thulo Khola, due to which the roads leading to popular tourist destinations like Nathula Pass and Tsomgo Lake are proving dangerous for vehicles.
As a precautionary measure, the Tourism Department has temporarily stopped issuing permits to visit Nathula and Tsomgo Lake. Now there is a request to the passengers, if you are coming on these routes, then first get information about the situation and take some caution.
