Manoj Bajpayee used to share cigarettes with Shahrukh Khan during his/her theater days, know the reason

Manoj Bajpayee and Shah Rukh Khan started their acting career together. Both of them learned acting skills from the same theatre group in Delhi. At that time, both Manoj and Shah Rukh were struggling to make their mark as actors. In a recent interview, Manoj recalled the time when he/she used to share cigarettes with Shah Rukh Khan during his/her theatre days. Recalling that time, Manoj said that not only Shah Rukh, but all the actors used to share their cigarettes. he/she told in an interview to Galatta India, ‘When you are in a theatre group and someone is smoking, they never do it alone. No one smokes a cigarette alone because no one can afford it. So if someone had one cigarette, he/she had to share it with four people.’

he/she said, ‘Even if he/she has money to buy a pack of cigarettes or just one cigarette, he/she cannot smoke it alone because in the past others have shared it with him/her and now it is his/her turn to share it.’ Manoj said that he/she was in Barry John’s theatre group for a few years and Shah Rukh was also associated with it for some time before moving to Mumbai and starting his/her career in Bollywood. Manoj said that he/she came to the city of dreams only after working in Shekhar Kapur’s ‘Bandit Queen’.
