On November 17, three women and three children were abducted by suspected Kuki militants from Borobekara area of ​​Jiribam district of Manipur following an encounter with security forces. A few days later, their bodies were found in the Jiri River in Jiribam district and in the marshy banks of Assam.

Eight-year-old Telan Thjanganbi had multiple bullet wounds and serious abdominal injuries. Telam Thoibi, 31, suffered serious head injuries, including fractured skull bones. The autopsy report of the woman, child and infant was made public on Wednesday, before which the reports of three other family members had been released.
