After her long absence, Mamata has compared herself to Gautam Buddha. She told News18, ‘I had set out in search of truth. Like Gautam Buddha turned out to be. I was just doing penance, engrossed in devotion. Reminiscing about leaving Bollywood during the peak of his/her career, he/she said, ‘I had 40 films, 3 flats, 4 cars, did 50 concerts across the world but I left everything.’

Why has Mamta Kulkarni returned to India?

Mamta clarified that her return to India has nothing to do with her Bollywood career or any possible comeback. She said, ‘I have not come here to go back to Bollywood. I am looking for a middle path and will continue on my spiritual path. Everything looks better with age. I enjoyed that period but now I have moved on.
