Ganpati festival is going to start soon, in such a situation no one would want their vehicle i.e. rat to be harmed in any way. But when rats are creating havoc, it becomes necessary to get rid of them. Because along with spoiling food items, they also eat expensive clothes. Due to which everyone faces problems.

In such a situation, if you do not want to use any killing product to get rid of rats, then there is no need to worry. If you want, you can make a mouse trap at home in which the rat will get trapped easily and later you can throw it away somewhere. The best thing is that it will not cost anything to make it.

Materials for making a cage

To make a rat trap, you will need only a few things. You will need a plastic bottle, cutter, 2 wooden sticks, rubber band, thread and U clip. All these things are easily available in almost all houses. If you do not have a U clip, you can buy it from the market which costs very little. Apart from this, you will need peanuts to lure the rat.

By applying a rubber band, the bottle will open like a gate when you lift the lid from the side and will close when you let it go. Now you will have to use a trick to keep this gate open for the rat. In this case, make a hole in the bottom part of the bottle towards the top and tie one side of the thread on the lid of the bottle.

To attach the other side to the bottom of the bottle, first put a peanut in the U-pin and then insert it in the hole made at the bottom of the bottle and also tie a knot in the thread and attach it to it.

When you hang the thread tied to the bottle cap at the bottom part, the bottle will remain open like a gate. Now as soon as the rat comes inside this bottle and tries to take out the peanuts, the gate will close due to the removal of the thread at the bottom part. This will trap the rat inside the bottle. Now you can take the bottle and leave the rat somewhere far away.
