Maharashtra Balasaheb Thorat: Senior Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat has resigned from the post of CLP in the assembly. After the Nashik Legislative Council elections, there was a rift between Balasaheb Thorat and State President Nana Patole. On Monday (February 6), Balasaheb Thorat had also expressed his displeasure by writing a letter to the Congress high command regarding Nana Patole.
Balasaheb Thorat told Mallikarjun Kharge in the letter that he could not work with Nana Patole. He said that he was troubled by the politics within the party in connection with the recently held Nashik Legislative Council elections. Please inform that Satyajit Tambe contested as an independent in the Nashik Legislative Council elections and won the election. He then accused the Congress of conspiring to defame his family and Thorat.
‘Patole is responsible for the misunderstanding’
In a strongly worded letter, Thorat said, “Nana Patole is angry with me, it is not possible to work with him under such circumstances. Patole alone is responsible for the confusion and misunderstanding during the crucial elections in Nashik.” It is surprising here that Nana Patole has refused to reply to Thorat’s letter.
‘I don’t know about the letter’
State President Nana Patole’s reaction has also come to the fore on Thorat’s resignation. He has said that he has no information about the resignation and so far no letter has reached him.
Nana Patole said, “I am not aware of the letter… I don’t think Thorat will write such a letter to the party leadership. He is our leader, he is the leader of the Congress Legislature Party.” On the other hand, whatever Thorat has written in the letter, the difficulties of the Congress are definitely going to increase. Politics took place throughout the Nashik Legislative Council elections.
Balasaheb Thorat wrote, “I am saddened and troubled by this… My family members came under strong criticism, which was never expected. Throughout the election process, attempts were made to create confusion and misunderstanding about me. I I am a born Congressman and will remain a Congressman for the rest of my life.”
