Ashoka Pillar

Hanuman Temple

There is an ancient temple of Lord Hanuman in Prayagraj, which has many beliefs. Devotees who come here for darshan say that the entire virtue of Sangam is completed only after visiting this temple of Hanuman ji. It is believed that this temple dates back to about 700 years. According to ancient stories, it is said that the king of Kannauj was taking this idol from Vindhyachal to his/her kingdom by boat through river Ganga. On the way they stopped at Prayag for night rest.

At night the boat broke down and the idol drowned in the river. The king became upset and returned to his/her home bare handed. Later, after many years Shri Balgiri Ji Maharaj found this idol under the sand while digging his/her dhuni (sacred place for worship). he/she started worshiping this idol. Gradually this place became popular and people from different places started coming here and worshiping.

Swaraj Bhavan

Swaraj Bhawan is a historical building and museum located in Prayagraj. Its original name was ‘Anand Bhawan’. This historical building was built by Motilal Nehru. Let us tell you, this was the ancestral home of the Nehru family, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was born here. Motilal Nehru donated this house to the Nehru family in the 1920s.

Chandrashekhar Azad Park

Indian freedom fighter Chandrashekhar Azad is remembered in this park where his/her statue is located. Let us tell you that in the year 1931, in this same park, revolutionary freedom fighter Chandra Shekhar Azad was martyred in a fierce firing by the British. Azad died on 27 February 1931 at the age of 24. This park is spread over 133 acres of land. You can come here with your family and friends.
