To make the journey easier for the devotees who are reaching Prayagraj by traveling by trains, Indian Railways is providing many facilities. Let us tell you, Indian Railways (IR) has made a plan to control the huge number of pilgrims during Mahakumbh 2025.

Let us tell you, Railways is operating about 13000 trains from many cities during the Kumbh Mela for lakhs of devotees going to religious events. Additionally, the Railways has expanded stations located near the Kumbh Mela sites and improved passenger amenities. With this, Indian Railways has announced the entry and exit plans for 6 Prayagraj stations. Let us know about this in detail.

This is the entry-exit of Prayagraj Junction

Prayagraj railway division comes under the administrative control of North Central Railway (NCR). The zonal railway has announced the entry and exit routes at all stations to handle the rush of pilgrims during major bathing festivals like Makar Sankranti, Mauni Amavasya, Vasant Panchami and Maghi Purnima.

According to the order, entry at Prayagraj Junction has been allowed only from platform number one from the city side, while exit from the Civil Lines side has not been allowed. For reserved or pre-reserved passengers, a separate entry point has been created at Gate No. 5. Passengers can enter via Chatham Line on platform number 1, while exit via Rampriya Road on platform number 4.

At Naini Junction, entry will be allowed only from Station Road and exit will be from the second entry gate towards the warehouse. Along with this, at Prayagraj Chhivki station, entry facility has been provided through COD Road, which connects to Prayagraj-Mirzapur Highway, while exit will be through GEC Naini Road.

Entry to Subedarganj station will remain closed from Jhalwa and Kaushambi Road, passengers have been allowed to exit only from GT Road. At the same time, at Phaphamau station, entry will be limited to the second entry gate located on platform number 4, with passengers can exit only from Phaphamau market. Let us tell you, at Prayagraj Rambagh station, entry will be allowed only from the primary entry gate of Hanuman Mandir intersection, while the exit is limited to Lauder Road.

To reach Prayagraj, passengers have started traveling by Indian Railways trains. For the convenience of the passengers coming for this Mahakumbh, which will run till 26 February, Indian Railways is running special trains from different parts of the country to Prayagraj. Let us tell you, more than 13,000 trains are being run across the country. Of these 13,000 trains, 10,000 are regular and more than 3,000 special trains.
